  • Group B: Friday,  Feb 10, 17, 24, class 6-8 pm, March 3 dinner, A+B.

Social Etiquette Course

  1. Dress codes (Men and women)
  2. How to become a good conversationalist.
  3. Social side of business
  4. Writing styles (invitations and announcements)
  5. Public speaking skills
  6. Dinner Etiquette (formal dinners and parties)
  7. Seating arrangements (Hosts and guests)
  8. Alcoholic beverages
  9. Practicum experiences

Program contents: Three in-person sessions, 2 hours for each session. One fine dining banquet experience in a restaurant with social engagement practices, including communications, speech training while enjoying formal dining experience.

Fees: 500 CAD per person (included fine dining meal at the restaurant, tips not included, formal dress required)

 

Course Lecturer

Shawn M. Wade, BA (1st Class Honours), LL.B., LL.M., is a dedicated Chief Executive, Army Officer and Youth Development leader with over 3 decades of voluntary community service experience.  Shawn’s interest in the Commonwealth began at an early age, and was partially motivated by his life-long interest in stamps and coins, which he has collected since his early childhood [and history].

Shawn is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Commonwealth Society, Mainland of British Columbia Branch (RCS), and also the President of the Royal Society of St. George BC.
